best corporate law firms in Delhi

Hello sir can I CON you…………!!!

It’s the music to my head

Hello sir, I am sub inspector Anil Kumar from CISF I liked your apartment and want to take it from 1st July 2021, these were the first words of the person who called me the moment I uploaded my property details on 99acres and magicbricks on 20th June 2021

I was astonished with the lightning speed of getting an enquiry just in a minute of confirming the listing, as if a person on the other side is in dire need of house and doing such quick search………. anyways, I asked him few other questions

  • Me: who all are there in your family
  • Anil Kumar: myself, my wife, and 3 years old daughter
  • Me: any vehicle
  • Anil Kumar: No sir
  • Me: where are you posted sir
  • Anil Kumar: I am getting relocated from Lucknow and will be posted at the airport
  • MMe: which airport sir
  • Anil Kumar: wo purana wala (that old one – in some south Indian Hindi accent)
  • Me: sir, which old one (just to show you I travel a lot)
  • Anil Kumar: that one which is old
  • AMe: you mean terminal 2 (I thought of helping, looks he is new with Delhi)
  • Anil Kumar: Yes sir
  • AMe: Fine sir, if you are OK with apartment kindly share your docs like Aadhar and PAN etc. I will get the agreement done and transfer one month advance rent and a security deposit, so as I delete property from 99acres and magicbricks and block it for you ,(at this stage Mr. Anil Kumar shared a PAN Card, Aadhar card where his home address was mentioned as Bulandshahar UP, which is western UP, however his accent was south Indian)
  • Anil Kumar: Fine sir, I will go to my office in an hour and get the advance transferred to you via paytm
  • Me: OK
  • After couple of hours, I got a call from his number
  • Anil Kumar: Sir, my officer wants to talk to you
  • Me: Fine

Anil Kumar’s side: Hello sir, I am John Head CISF I am sending you rent for Mr. Anil Kumar, first, I will send you Rs. 5 I would need your QR code to confirm receipt and balance will do after wards He graciously offered to help

(This was it, I thought thank you for confirming that you and your team members are the one looting innocent people in and around Delhi NCR)

Controlling my thoughts, that I am not doing wrong and hitting in dark, I politely told the gentlemen let me get back to you in sometime, and

I wrote emails to CISF and 99acres to confirm I am not taking an action against a genuine person to which they replied (separate emails received, confirming of those institutions name being wronged)

After this we initiated legal process Now the question is why we did this?

So, we have been getting many cases to represent innocent people who have been duped by such Anil Kumar’s in the name of esteemed organisations like CISF, BSF, Army or leading property portals like 99acres etc.

Couple of our clients have lost more than Rs. 5 lakh and several others have lost different amounts where modus operandi of the scammers is almost similar, so we thought of doing this

Banking on Names

These transactions are happening around established names like, 99acres, magicbricks, CISF, Delhi Police, Indian Army, Delhi Government so as no one should doubt, perpetrators stich out a story around our digital foot prints which we are leaving over internet via different platforms it could be facebook, twitter, linkedin, youtube or anything else for that matter

They are so smart, they do whiteboard storytelling once successful with a particular story just replicate, this has been the pattern around most of the stories

A brief Advice

So, it is an advice to everyone who uses internet for financial transactions to think logical and cautiously before doing transactions as gone are the days when physical money loot used to happen it’s a digital world, a teen sitting at home with a crooked mind can siphon of your accounts in a click, today, one has to be mindful of cybercriminals. These criminals specially target users taking the digital route conducting financial transactions.

One such channel seeing rise in frauds is the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), a digital payment platform that facilitates cashless, real-time transactions through mobile phones.

Almost all the banks have issued advisories on their social media handles and sending emails, warning customers of the same and have asked them to practice 'safe banking'.

Various types of frauds take place on the payment platform. One should know that none of these are due to the issues with payment platform itself but are modes of deception as well.

However, not all digital payments app present on stores are authentic, especially the unverified ones. Once a person downloads an unverified app, it will take information from his phone and can have full control of the device.

Finvestopedia being one of the Top law firms in Delhi are in legal panel of many organisations, we always suggest them to be cautious of safeguarding their customer data as any breach could dent the image Apart from this, fraudsters also conduct scams by posing as bank representatives, or a representative of an established organisation (like in our case it was CISF and 99acres which were named) who will ask you to download a third-party app for "verification purposes" or share QR code etc. Once downloaded, these apps will give them remote access to your phone, and here the money goes.
